Criteria For Regional & Specialty Shows


Regional Show Criteria

An NCS Class “A” Show With Added Bonus Points

Regional Show Bonus Awards
First Placing: 10 Extra Points
Second Placing:   9 Extra Points
Declining until Tenth Placing:   1 Extra Point
1. Must have a “Two Class A Major Show Event Weekend” to receive Bonus Points.
2. Select an event date that is not in conflict with any other NCS shows within the same region.
3. Regional shows are at no extra cost to NCS. Any additional trophies and/or awards are the responsibility of the hosting club.
4. Any NCS affiliated club may apply through the NCS Third Vice President, Chairman of the Affiliated Clubs no later than September 1, to be considered by the Board of Directors for the next calendar year.
5. Applying clubs to provide information detailing any previous experience of hosting an NCS Class “A” show(s) with a minimum of 51 entries and 7 exhibitors within the last 3 years.
6. Decision determined by a majority vote of the NCS BOD. An announcement of the BOD decision will be made at the NCS General Membership meeting at the National Cage Bird Show in November.
7. The NCS Board of Directors reserves the right to change, update or revise as needed in the future.

NO CLUB MAY HOST THE SPECIALTY SHOW AND A REGIONAL SHOW IN THE SAME YEAR.


Specialty Show Criteria

Two (2) NCS Class “A” Shows (within the same  weekend)

A Minimum of 100 Entries & 10 Exhibitors Per Show
To Qualify for Bonus Awards.

Show #1 Offers Bonus of ‘Best in Shows’ for 1-10 Top Ten Bench placings. All Top Ten Novice winners to receive 10 extra points.
Show #2 Offers Bonus of Double Points for Top Ten in Show and Top Ten in Novice.
1. If either show falls below 100 entries and 10 exhibitors, the extra Bonus for placings and/or points to be withdrawn.
2. The Specialty Show weekend is at no extra cost to NCS. Any additional awards to be at hosting club’s responsibility.
3. Applicant clubs must have hosted an NCS Class ‘A’ Major Show featuring multiple NCS divisions, within the past two years.
4. Clubs hosting a Specialty Show weekend provide an NCS membership booth near the NCS Division.
5. Select an event date not in conflict with any other NCS shows within the same region.
6. To boost the number of exhibitors to a Specialty Show weekend, it is recommended the host club have access to show cages for rental for those exhibitors traveling from out of town.
7. Interested NCS affiliated clubs may apply through the Third Vice President, Chairman of Affiliated Clubs no later than September 1 to be considered for the next calendar year.
8. Decision determined by a majority vote of the NCS Board of Directors. Results of the BOD decision will be announced at the NCS General Membership meeting during the National Cage Bird Show in November.
9. The NCS Board of Directors reserves the right to change, update, or revise as needed in the future.
