Membership Application - Forms needed to become an NCS Member.

Registered Aviary - The list of Registered Aviaries will include your NCS band-code, your aviary name, and your own name, address, phone and email information. Your aviary will be listed here and in the journal.

Online Store - Members and Non-Members can order NCS Merchandise.

Advertise in the Journal - You don't have to be a member to advertise!

NCS By-Laws - NCS By-Laws are now published online.

Members Benefits

  1. Membership Card - You receive a permanently assigned membership number.
  2. The NCS Journal  - This 55-page booklet is published once every two months and includes exclusive articles, photos and stories, advice columns for the pet owners as well as veterinary and health information, avian enjoyed recipes, humor, as well as other regular columns of interest to cockatiel owners, exhibitors and breeders.  Back issues can be purchased at the NCS Sales Store for a small fee.
  3. The NCS Handbook can be purchased at the NCS Sales Store to assist those who are new to exhibiting cockatiels.  This handbook includes:  Club affiliation requirements and benefits.  Standard of Excellence.  Point System for attaining status of Champion and Grand Champion.  Requirements for Judges Panel. Show cage specifications and more.
  4. Bands - for a small charge, members may order traceable, closed metal bands coded with NCS and the member's own personal code.
  5. Members can register their aviary with NCS and become listed on our website.
  6. Members who belong to other bird clubs and hold bird shows can affiliate their club and list their upcoming show on our website.
  7. Members are able to participate in members only raffles and contests which occur semi-annually.  Instructions for participation are located in our Journals and these raffles and contests are occasionally advertised on our website.
  8. Members can post classified ads and avian-related business ads in our Journal as well as on our website.
  9. Members have access to the Members Only section of our Talk About Tiels bulletin board.

Goals and Objectives of NCS

  • To encourage improvement and enjoyment of the Cockatiel through functions and activities.
  • To provide the members with programs on the pet, aviary, and exhibition aspects of Cockatiels.
  • To emphasize the advantages of selective breeding, closed banding and record keeping.
  • To keep the members informed of all activities and actions.
  • To provide the NCS Journal as a forum for the free exchange of information and ideas.
  • To support an annual exhibit of cockatiels at the NCS Specialty Show.
  • To maintain a panel of qualified judges who use the NCS Standard of Excellence.
